The Young Artists Studio for homeschool students is designed to introduce children to the foundations of drawing and artistic expression in a way that builds both skill and confidence.
Students learn how to truly see the world around them and translate what they see onto paper. Through carefully guided lessons, they develop foundational drawing skills including shape, proportion, shading, and composition.
Each class balances structured skill-building with creative exploration, allowing students to experience both mastery and joy in the artistic process.
Students work with professional-quality materials including graphite, charcoal, watercolor, acyrilics, and oil pastels.
This class helps children develop:

No prior experience is necessary. All skill levels are welcome.

The Developing Artists Studio is designed for students ready to deepen their drawing skills and create more sophisticated artwork.
Students learn essential artistic principles including shading, value, proportion, composition, and perspective.
Through drawing from still life, nature, and reference images, students learn to create artwork with depth, realism, and expression.
Students also begin exploring their own creative voice while building technical ability.
This class helps students develop:
• Strong drawing and shading skills
• Greater artistic confidence

• Pride in creating meaningful artwork
Students are often amazed at how quickly their skills improve.

Whether you consider yourself an artist or someone who “can’t draw a stick figure,” these workshops are welcoming, supportive, and fun. No prior experience is necessary.
Sandy guides participants step-by-step through engaging drawing or painting exercises designed to build real artistic skills while allowing space for creative exploration and personal expression.
Participants work with professional-quality materials such as graphite, charcoal, watercolor, and oil pastels while enjoying a relaxed studio atmosphere with cocktails and conversation.
